RFID in passports not a just a USA issue.

In my post on April 27, 3005, I noted that at the recent Electronic Freedom Foundation conference on privacy and freedom, the question of "skimming" information from passports with RFID chips in them came up, and the representatives from the government seemed to realize that there were risks to having an ID chip in a passport that could be read from a distance. Now Rep. Sensenbrenner enters the discussion by telling Eurpeon governments not to bother with RFID in passports, but to stick with "biometrics" like fingerprints or iris scans.
