Nashville Scene - Thin News, Fat Profits

A former reporter, now a journalism teacher decries the "dumbing down" of newspapers owned by the corporate chains. In this case he takes Gannett and especially the Tennessean to task. It is too long, but he makes some good points, especially about where the bright students in journalism see themselves going after graduation.
